Default another axle problem

went to parts store autozone gave them info 88crx hf. they looked that up and the axles are the same part number for the si version for that year too. my problem here is that it the axles fit into the tranny but they dont fit into the outer hub. i compared the my old axles with the new ones i bought. the outer side cv joint splines are smaller on my old ones and the new ones are bigger so they wont fit? do you guys know what kind of hubs i have? is it from a civic???.

Yeah, they are not the same axles, hf ones are smaller on the hub side due to the hubs on a hf being smaller than ones on a dx/si, so go back and tell them that they are the wrong ones, and that they are not the same, and you need them for an hf.

I think you have si axles.
HF/STD are different than SI/DX.
You either need si knuckles or hf axle's.

Well your car obvously has hf hubs on it. There are different part numbers, I dont know why they told you that, but like the last guy said, you either need to get si hubs, or you need to get hf axles.

guy at autozone was wrong, two other employees helped me out. the axles are suppose to have the yellow stripes on them for the hf model axles.
