Default 88 crx si swap question> expert question here!

Ok so I just swapped in A dohc ZC in a 88 CRX Si. Now i have everything done but the harness plug on the resistor box area is different on the 88 then it was on my 89. The green plug on the resistor box is the same but the one next to it is not. It has two less wires and is a six pin square, while the one off the harness is 8 pin round. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Use your original engine harness that goes with the car.

That's just how it is,,88 is different then 89-91..use what ever harness the car came with originally (88'si) dont complicate this easy *** swap..The only wiring you should be doing is over on the distributor plug

Im not overcomplictaing ****, im just wondering what that difference is. I know i can use the stock harness but i never knew they were different 88 to 89 as far as the engine harness goes. Just wanted to see if some gurur knew, guess i will figure it out myself. I already used the stock harness so thast straight but it doesnt answer my question.
