Default dumb question but which battery?

Okay. i know i might get flamed for this. but which battery? Optima yellowtop D51 $149 ( just re-released by optima) or Duralast gold $80? The optima is 12 months free replacement with the next 12 months prorated, spill-proof, protection from vibration. Duralast has 8 year warranty, first 3 years is free replacement, with the remaining 5 years prorated.

Usage in Months/Length of Warranty X Original Purchase Price = Prorate Charge

And it would help if you've had either or both of these batteries. I had an optima yellowtop but it died after 2 years. So I'm just asking which one would you recommend by what I said and by what you know? thanks

do you have a big stereo? massive ricer lights? if not any battery will do. I would go with the duralast, cheaper. Batteries are consumables they wear and you replace. As long as its decent quality you should be fine. Getting a premium battery might give you another year of life. But why chance it..

If you don't have any crazy electronics then all its really doing is starting your car.

Good luck

unless you have a lot of equipment or have really bad weather conditions, i'd go with a factory one...

After much research, I bought a Duralast Gold for my wife's Saturn LS2. Excellent life, more than adequate CCAs. That's about the only 2 criteria you should look at for a regular driving around car without special requirements.
