Default radio security code

i bought a radio from an s2000, i just wired it into my 92 cx. It lights up, and the theft light blinks. on top of the radio is a sticker with a 5 digit number(all 1-6) and the serial number. i just pushed in the 5 digit number on the sticker but it doesnt do anything. the guy i bought it from said that was the security code. is there anything special i need to do?

I worked at a honda dealership and customers were always coming in and telling me that their radio doesnt work after they changed their battery or something. What you need to do is pull out the radio and get the model and serial #s from it and call a honda dealership and they should be able to give you the security code.
Hope this helps

You can do that, or I'm sure most car audio installation place can crack the code.

sorry to say GapxGuy but Honda is the only ones who know the codes. I also work for a car audio shop on the side and there is no way for them to know unless they get the serial #s off the radio and call honda.

The dealer gets really suspicious when you ask them for this code. Your best bet is to get a friend who owns the car the radio originally came in to ask the dealer.

I've got an Integra headunit in my Civic. I just told the Acura dealer that I had my car serviced there previously (I did) and gave them the serial number. They looked up my customer information and gave me the radio code.
