crx and civic hub interchangable???
like the topic states, are there any knuckles that are not interchangable between the 88-91 Civic/CRX, except the CRX HF. slhondaparts.com has all hatch knuckles as the same part number as the crx si, but what about 4 doors? i'd like to have as many posible donor cars when i go salvage searching this weekend. thanks.
the 88-91 Civic STD (4-speed) has the small hubs like the CRX HF - everything else CRX/Civic will work - 90-91 Civic EX has larger brakes than the rest
Just really need to watch out for the HF's and STD. Everything such as 4dr, hatches and CRX that aren't the above will be just fine.
However, if Marysville has any EX knuckles snag as many pairs as you can. Also if you want to do the big brakes you can look at 90-93 Integra knuckles. We just did a write up on that in the FAQ.
Also if you desire less pedal travel you can get a booster and its master cylinder from an Integra, the non-abs unit is marked at a 260v and an abs is 290v both will swap in however with the 290v you will need the fitting on the donor car at the back of the MC.
Happy Junk Yard Doggin Jacob! Tell Marysville I say hello...I wish the Cooper boys still owned the DQ.
