need advise on 3rd brake light

need advise on 3rd brake light
on my 97 R, shaved the wing off but forgot needed the 3rd brake light to pass safety insp. i've seen before where some people have used a universal light mounted onto either a cage or c-pillar bar, just wondering where you could pick on up. Tried local parts stores and no one seems to carry what i need anyone have any suggestions...thanks

just tell the tech guy that the 97 R didn't come with a third brake light. They started with it on the 99-00 version.
I told that to the emissions guy here in IL about my 92 hatch and his response was... ohh yah I remember that now... I had to hold the laughter in till I left.
If you really feel that you need one, pick up a set of 12V LEDs from radioshack and mount them where ever you feel it would work. Pass inspection then remove them.

I suggest you make sure you have a real R since the brake light isn't mounted on the wing.
