Default My little Project log(pics out the wazooo)

Hey i got a 91 si not that long ago i am starting a build thread as of right now i need to rebuild the motor cus the rings are toast so it smokes like crazy so yeah
this is what the car looked like before we got it


before we bought it


and after we got it






and as she sits now





the parts i have gathered so far and installed

i have the valve cover head and oil pan gaskets
i have the crank and cam seals
a new water pump timing belt and adjuster
piston rings arp head studs and connecting rod bolts
coolant temp swich and the main bearings

installed

i have installed the LCA's
i plumed it and i running my velocity funnel
JDM style amber corners and bumper lights


i havent taken out the motor yet cus well i still need some parts to comein
but when they do i will start taking it apart and i will post them up

questions comments are welcome

ohh i have a after market FPR and i would like to know how to turn down the PSI cus when we got it, it was at 55 psi and i know thats not right i will take pics in the morning of the FPR so you guys can let me know thanks for looking

i will take pics it about 3 feet maybe well it dont work to well cus i have the stock filter in place i will be gettning a K&N dropin so i think then i will feel the difference you know

Do you have any idea what that color was?
Is that a stock SI paint?

i want to paint it but i dont know if i want it yellow our rio red not sure

you might have seen the car but not me i got the car of my buddie who had the car for about 3 weeks then he sold it to me but yeah you from this aria

so yesterday i started taking the car apart and i ran in to a major problem
when i got the car i new the wire harness was shot but i never actualy too a look
at it like the rear harness was horible and yesterday i was looking at the engine harness and that **** was worse so i figured that the best thing to do was to get a
new harness what do you guys think i will take pics and show you how bad it is of todays progress and for yesterdays here are the pics

are you saying you have a stack on the front bumper, plumbed to the stock airbox with a drop in filter? and you think it's doing something? gimme a break.

sorry about him being a dick as usual

he has a point but no need to ridicule you over it. the only thing it might be doing is getting colder air to your STOCK air filter. really no point in that... get a name brand proven intake for daily driving, then swap the filter out with that velocity stack when your at the dyno. otherwise, leave it on a shelf that is too high for you to reach it. otherwise, with the stock engine and ESPECIALLY the stock air filter/box... your just giving people a reason to make fun of you

thats going to be a bit hard for i am 6'8 so i can rech any thing buddy
and yeah at the moment its a stock filter but when i am done with the rebuild of the a6 and i have some cash i am buying my K&N so yeah

ok glad thats over well today continued to work on the car i disconnected all the plugs and took off my alternator here are the pics of the progress and the harness that i promised you ohhh and UPS brought me my main bearings today so i am now geting closer to haveing all my parts i need





as you saw in the first pics the car was in an accident so i have that to fix as well

the are that needs the work

the pice that going to replace the part where it got hit

Yes I need to find out that color. If it's a stock color then I'm good because that is the same color my CRX is now.

lol no thats my Dx that going to be RHD
then i had a log for my 4dr wich died cus i got this car
so now i have a new one cus i am going to rebuild the motor so
iits a new car but i still have the dx lol but glad to see you membered lol
