I am stuck on finding quality seats.. I have an 89 CRX Si that I bought cheap after market seats for and sold my stock ones(Worst thing I ever did). I am looking at the Sparco Torino 2 seats but can't find anyone else that has them in there CRX. Does anyone know about these? Are they solid and fit right with the kits you get from Sparco?
Thanks again, J

You have to make a custom bracket or buy a Sparco bracket/sliders. I just installed a Recaro seat (it had sliders that came with it). There is no other way to install them.

i have evo 8 seats in my rex i used the stock sliders and had to custom fab most of it.

I saw those photos when I was doing a search concerning installing my Recaro seat. I wanted to see your custom bracket. But, my friend welder managed to make me a very solid base.
I'm not sure if it would bolt up correctly, most aftermarket seats don't mount properly. I think the easier thing to do would be to get the rails from your stock seats to fit on the new seats.
IMO, the CRX SI seats with the red stiching look the best. Sucks that you got rid of them.

I am still kicking my self for selling them for $100 for the pair.. However that is in the past and I have to spend some cash, I am just going to order the Sparco seats with all there rails and sliders. I called them today (Sparco) and asked about the specs for the custom fit rails and they are a direct bolt in. Costly.. YES.. but they will fit and be solid so I will be happy. I hope?

If they say it will bolt right in using their rails, I wouldn't see a mounting/fitment problem. However, if it doesn't ask them about the return policies. Try doing a search to see if other people have installed them and see what issues they had if any.
$100 for the seats?!!...I wish I knew about the sale, I hate the small tear in my bolster.

My only negative comment is
1) You sit a bit higher (if you are short, no big deal but if you are tall....)
2) You won't sit dead center with the steering wheel. For your security, all stock seat position is slighty to the left, to prevent the steering wheel from "hitting you straight at you" in a collision.
I copied the sparco bracket but for some reason, after installing my Recaro seat (which uses the same mounting points as Sparco) I felt really off center. It felt more pronounced vs the stock seats.

Wapon*R makes seat mounting brackets for the 90-91 CRX. Try http://www.weaponspeed.com/Honda-90-91-CRX-Weapon-R-Racing-Seat-Bracket-One-Pair-p-18614.html - 60$ a pair. I have never used them and would like some info regarding fitment (are they too high). They are for SPARCO type seats, but you could probably use them to mount Recaro style seats.
I am interested in replacing my seats in my CRX, and so far I have noticed it will be very expensive and not fit properly (too high etc.). Now, for the money, I am seriously considering getting my stock seats completely redone, with new foam and everything.

i have the weapon r brackets in my car and i hate them, they sit high and make my seat rub the headliner, not only that one point doesn't line up with the stock mounting position and i had to custom fab it to fit...soo thats my experience, if i could do it again, id just fab up my own or put up more money next time and buy something better, i bought mine in summer if they changed since then i dont know
I just picked up a pair for my z and they feel really snug (in a good way). The only thing is I am going to respray the black part of the seats with upholstery paint so get rid of the fading. They are known to fade and the fade on the black is an ugly yellow hue. I'm picking up the paint and spraying them later on today. I'll post pics after.
Well, here are some picts I took of my Recaro in my Rex. Based on the Sparco bracket. Some tweeking will be required to make the seat "straight" by adding some shims/washers on the rear left mounting point.
1) Overall look:

2)Side view custom bracket: The holes where the original placement of the Sparco, so we made new holes to be dead center to the steering wheel.

3)Front:

4)Rear:

5)Top: Notice how the seat is very near the central console. The seat is dead center with the steering wheel.

Below is the Sparco bracket for Crx89-91. The only holes that fit in my car was the front ones. In my friends USDM Crx it fitted but in my CAN Crx, it did not.
Also, the holes to receive the seat sliders did not fit. I guess it depends which sliders you get on the seat...
1) Front

2) Rear

3) Top

Sweet brackets, haven't seen those before - do they work with the EVO VIII's?

this is not 100% relevant i guess.. because im using a sparco Pro2000 seat in both my gen2 crx and my gen1 but its a fixed back.
because its a sidemount setup - I've got it setup so that the stock rails are bolted to the side mount plates and then to the seat.

this however is a setup which came with a seat I got directly from japan... again its a fixed back seat but uses stock rails with a welded up frame...

hope this helps somehow?

I have the CORBEAU seats. I bought the matching brackets and i installed both seats in 10 minutes. Just buy the brackets and make your life easy!!!
Harness install took a bit of time
but was worth it.
After i clean the interior i'll post pics
