Civic Si Owners...
im planning on buying a si and was wondering would there be much of a difference on insurance rates between the sedan and the coupe?
also, according to the vehicle's specs, it does not seem to be a big change in the amount of room in the sedan.. like a couple inches.. is that correct? thanks all.

that's a really good question, I was actually wondering the same thing because I'm looking into getting an Si next year possibly.
I was actually very surprised mine did not go up very much. Only about $40-60 every year. As you can imagine I was very happy about that. I also have Geico, and no point on my record, and live in the MD-DC area.

Are you under your parents policy? Thats quite cheap for an Si. When I was shopping for a new car I got quoted like $150 a month from state farm but of course under my parents policy. I'm 21 and it would have been like 3 grand a year or something crazy like that on my own.

I'm assuming he's in the military, that's one way to get USAA. I have them and mine is $700 a year for my 2007 Si Sedan. As long as you have a clean record, USAA is the bomb!! I'm 26 BTW.

Go for the sedan...4 drs = more accesibility
As for insurance, I'm in PA and have an address close to Philadelphia which will normally kill your rate. Take it up to 1k deductible nd check out Liberty Mutual.
Another note, check with your employer. I got an employee discount for my insurance...

I have the Si coupe and anyone over 6' will have to sit slouched in the coupe rear seats
plenty more room in the back of the sedan and easier for peeps to climb in and out
The insurance rates shouldn't be too different, its an Si and remember rates will be more because it is the Si. Something about theft being greater on the Si model. Hope that helps

I pay $80 per month for my 07 FA5 and quoted $120 on the coupe for me.
Thats just a quore not actaully running everything with it.
If you really want to know! Ask your broker not to give youa quote but rather to have him run everything. That is what they are for! Unless they are Lazy. Had my broker run the FA5 before I bought the car. Even bought Insurance before I bought the car!
