Car wont start
OK here's the low down.
Vehicle:
It's an EG coupe that had a blown single cam, no ecu, and no dizzy when i bought it.
The kid before me had 359 swap a mini me setup in there. He blew it up on the highway and drove it home.
There it sat till I bought it.
Motor:
B16a2 out of a 99 Si. The car was driven to 359, had the motor pulled and it sat ina corner for a very long time.
When I picked it up it had no dizzy or ecu.
Swap:
I'm using an OBD0 vtec dizzy, a p28 ecu, OBD1 injectors, and the wire harness from the eg.
The problem:
I have spark on all 4 cylinders.
The fuel pump is turning on.
There is fuel and pressure within the fuel rail.
I re-wired the injectors from the ecu straight to the injectors.
Yellow was #4, Blue was #3, Red was #2, and Brown was #1
The yellow/black wire on each is grounded out. Still nothing
I even took one of the injectors and hooked it up to a battery. It clicked open.
Any ideas? Help is greatly appreciated.

well if all that is true and there arent any problems with the ecu or wiring harness the first thing I would do is check the firing order and that the distributor isnt 180 degrees out. If that was ok i would make sure the cams are in time with the block and distributor.

he can if he rewired it properly...which brings me to my next question. Did you rewire the plug yourself? only one wire is different large white wire on the odb0 should go to the yellow/green wire on the 0bd1 harness. Also youre grounding for the injectors are susposed to be closed loop meaning they tie together and return to the ecu to prevent induced current a.k.a "noise".

True, although i assumed he didnt rewire it since he didnt say he did

If you have spark and fuel then it should start unless either u dont have enough fuel or not enough spark or the spark is in the wrong place at the wrong time....Main relay wouldnt be bad since you said you have fuel.
Like mentioned before is the grounding for your injectors in a closed loop fashion? Are you sure the timing belt is on correct or did you not mess with it?

I was getting spark, but no fuel out of the injectors. injectors had power, but didnt open.
but thanks to my man JIM, we figured out it was the ecu
well i tried 4 ecu's and one of them worked.
p75 out of a 94 integra- no luck
p05 converted to p28 chipped for a b20/ls setup- no luck
p28 from delsol- no luck
p28 chipped for ls- started right up but idled at like 4200 and sounded like it was hitting revlimiter.
any ideas? can i just get my p28 re-mapped for b16? or whats the deal

if it runs with the chipped p28, just start with a stock map for the b16 and see how that works. It still shouldnt be that out whack with a ls map...but you dont know what was flashed on that chip. you could check out the maps currently on it and look for something funny.
but I recommend using the stock b16 map, and set your timing, short the diagonostic port first, set you TPS, set your idle. if its
still all jacked up post up the results and well go from there.
