Overheating Issues
I have a 91 honda civic with a d16z6 converted to obd1...I am having overheating problems. It's getting poor coolant circulation. I've changed the thermostat, radiator, waterpump's good. It usually starts overheating when I floor it or when it's been driving for a while. It dumps coolant back into the resorvoir and builds up pressure. One time I blew the upper radiator hose on the highway that's when i first found out that it's building up pressure. Any ideas?

good question!so you've replaced the t-stat and radiator and your water pump is good?
what makes you think it's good? is there any smoke coming out of your exhaust? have you done a compression check? if it has got hot enough to blow hoses, its got more then hot enough to warp heads and blocks...
yea my turbo did the same thing to my 300k mile d16a6. but i think i was looking at head gasket and cracked cylinder wall. i never knoew the exact answer let us know what fixes it
thanks everyone for the help...I havn't got to test my theory yet but i think it's the head gasket...I'll let you all know when i test it.
Thanks,
