Drive-By-Wire
I searched for this on this forum and didn't find a whole lot of info on it, but I'm wondering what exactly this drive-by-wire system is? When Googled their definition of drive-by-wire is that ALL systems, steering, braking, etc. are wire-controlled and have no hydraulics or mechanisms.
However, I'm pretty sure too that I read the Civic's only have drive-by-wire as it pertains to the throttle. Can anyone give me a more detailed explaination of how this system works?

i dont know if someone explained this to you yet but the drive by wire means that instead of the car having a mechanical cable from the gas pedal to the throttle plate there is an electric sensor on the gas pedal and it tells a computer to activate an electric motor ont the throttle body that opens and closes the throttle plate.
