Default Boost Controller Question... Single Stage or Dual?

If one is running an engine management that has launch control or 2-step or whatever that manufacturer wants to call it, would a Dual Stage boost controller be beneficial?

Seems to be redundant to me, but then again, I'm a noob to this stuff...

dual boost controllers are benificial to people that get wheel spin in 1st and 2nd, they limit the amount of boost made. for example in 1st and 2nd it would only allow 8psi and in 3rd-5th 20psi.
