Bi-xenon worth it? hi/low worth it?
I am gonna pick up a pnp HID kit (please keep your negative comments to yourself).
I am just really curious if its worth it to get the bi-xenon or the hi/low feature....
will it cause the kit to fail prematurely from extra "load"?
I just need soem opinions from people who actually have and use these products.
I am getting a xenith Xenon kit if that helps.

OEM Bi-xenon... uses a solenoid attached to the shield inside the projector, this shield flips out of the way when the solenoid is active, allowing light to escape from the bottom of the projector... Thus creating a high-beam.
PNP Bi-xenon - is either:
A: A bubl with a solenoid or a motor that moves the bulb forward and backward to move the arc from under the casper shield to under nothing... this solenoid/motor, as i've read, is ****.. and dies really fast.
OR
B: A bulb with two arcs... this bulb requires 2 ballasts.
What you should get.. is a set of TSX projectors, pop open your headlight, and retro them in correctly.
Then get a pair of Phillips ballasts, and some 4300k Phillips D2S bulbs...
IF this is too much for you...
Buy some Phillips X-Tream or the new Osram Nightbreaker - if they are available for your car that is...
Otherwise.. forget about HIDs.
================================
The kit that you are getting? How many ballasts does it come with? If only 2 its not a bi-xenon kit... what you could've bought is a kit bulb.. that has a rebased d2s bulb, and a halogen highbeam... OR you got the one with the shitty solenoid..
The only company that I know of that makes the Bi-xenon dual arc bulb is Kaixen, supposedly they are the 2ND kit in europe compared to a kit based on oem stuff.
They have a really spiffy website =D http://www.kaixenkits.com/

Honestly the whole blinding hid thing is whatever.... i honestly cant say i have been blinded by the pnp hid kit.. annoying and bright, yeah.... but nothing dangerously blinding. Still sucks for other drivers, and thats why i steared away.
