Default Took the bike to work this morn, Oct 31st

In Mass, it was about 40 degrees.

Left at 6 AM, its a 35 mile, 1 hour ride. Mostly 35 mph but the last 8 miles is 65-70 mph.

BRRRRRR. Dark the whole time.

I wore 2 pars of socks, sweatpants under my jeans, t shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, then leather jacket, gloves, helemt with all the cold weather baffles in and vents closed.

I was putting my hands on the pipes at stoplights to warm them up

Should be mid 60s and sunny for the ride home though

Possibly the last ride of the year

I opened the thread and was expecting a bicycle. I could not see your motorcycle picture so I saw the 35mph for most of the ride and was like then 65-70 and . I am thinking of picking up one of the new ninja 250's and an A stitch suit for winter riding.

If it takes me an hour to commute on a motorcycle, I cant imagine how long it would take on a bicycle!!!!!!

250 would make a nice commuter bike, and you would get a lot better than the 40 mpg I get on mine!

It would be an 08 (completely redesigned and HOT!).

As an aside: the moto forum here is for Honda bikes only, correct? I will definitely post a review if and when I pick one up. 3g's is a bargain.

It's still in the 80s down here, so we haven't stopped riding yet....that cold weather sounds sucky.

Its tough in the trasnsitons, but I like changing seasons. The northeast has some pretty crazy temp swings. It gets to over 100 in the summer, and I have seen -30 and colder in the winter. It makes the roads around here crappy, thats a massive amount of expansion and contraction!

It's been in the low 30's all this week when I set out. Don't have a car either, so the scooter is the only way.

I was thinking about taking my bike to work this morning but only cause I was running late and I could have taken the HOV lane almost all the way. I'll probably take it tomorrow or maybe Friday just so it doesn't feel neglected.

It paid off, its still a little cool out, but more like 55-60 and SUNNY. I just took it to lunch and to a job site. The ride home will be glorious.

I love side mount radiators on cold days. At stop lights I just tuck my hands right into the vents. I'm sure onlookers think I'm just giving my bike a big ol' hug!

I looked outside one morning last week and saw sun. Pulled up weather.com and saw the high of 60 and said "I'm riding!" Stepped outside with all my gear on, laptop in a backback and started riding. "Damn it's cold out!" Drove past a bank thermometer that read 34 degrees.
I have a leather jacket, so all that was really cold was my hands, neck, and thighs... I guess we're just more hardy in Minnesota. lol
Ok, yeah, I didn't have to go any faster than 50. Otherwise, I would have gotten to the office and had to thaw out.

I was thinking about riding to School this morning. It was about 45 and I almost did, but I'm not sure what I'd do with the cold weather gear when i got off. I can't wear it in class, i'd sweat to death.
