I hate to resort to this but i have already heard of 3+ scams b0mb3rm2n made. His name is kenny and sells JDM integra front ends on here. I dont know how many people actually got a pleasant transaction but i have at least 3 other people that can vouch that they have been scammed or know someone that have been scammed by him. He says he has authentic black housing headlights but actually sells resprayed chrome headlights. He blames the customer that "we picked it out" but his threads on h-t mislead the customer. In my case, i made a mistake by trusting his word when he said he would have the best set ready when i go up there. I bought it for a friend and my friend realized that the headlights were resprayed black from chrome. BEWARE OF THE HEADLIGHTS HE SELLS ALONG WITH HIS FRONT ENDS!

Anyone else that has had a bad experience with him, post your experience!

that boy told me that ill be satisfied and that the drive up to get the parts were well worth it. i hellllaa regret it now. fuked up headlights and fenders. guess he love bondo and paint.

My story:

-Late July to early August-
I come down to Kenny's area to pick up a set. I had also asked him for the best condition parts (who wouldn't right?) and when I get there to pick it up, he had one last bumper for me with a front lip... The lip was in horrible condition. But I was stupid enough to pay full price for what he asked for thinking that I would never find another lip at that price ($150). Beat the hell up and full of bondo. Lesson learned.

Anyways, I was trying to pick out the best headlights but all of them were wrapped in saran wrap and inspecting the hundreds he had would have taken me hours. I remember seeing most of the headlights he had... The seams seemed to be resealed suspiciously. It looked like it had been baked open since all the tabs were "melted". I asked him about this while I was at the shop and he mentioned how the heat from shipping, blah, blah caused it. At the time, I didn't think much of it because I was too excited to get my first JDM front end...

I got my parts home to make matter worse, noticed the spider-webbed cracked headlights. I also asked him about the missing part; the small re-bar that runs across the bumper support. He then says that it's there. But I clearly knew it wasn't. It wasn't too much of a big deal so I let it go.

I asked him if I could get a replacement set for the headlights...He assured me he would replace them for me AS SOON AS HE GOT THE NEW SHIPMENT IN late September. I was thinking, this guy is truly a great seller.


-Late September, Early October-
Throughout the month of September, I tried to stay contact with Kenny to make sure that he wasn't just going to give me the run around and stay true to his word. Sure enough that ended up happening...It became harder and harder for me to get a hold of him. Phone calling became a routine for me. I e-mailed him, contacted him on AIM and private messaged him here on Honda-Tech.

The last time I finally got in contact with him, he told me the same thing he had told you guys:
"Sorry about the parts you choose were bad ( but remember, im selling this on the streets usually means sold as is, but im trying to do my best to make people happy), you guys had over 20 sets to choose from"

I'm about to say expletive it because I know he's not going to replace them. All he cares about is selling whatever he has to get his money, but now that I see other people are having problems with him, it is starting to fuel my rage once more.

If you guys take the time to search the archives about his past threads selling the JDM fronts, you guys will learn that some of the headlights were indeed SiR-G (chrome version) headlights painted black.

He may have once had the greatest reputation here, but it's going down. We all paid good money so at the very least, we SHOULD receive parts promised to be in good condition or let us replace it---no questions asked!!!

Agreed. It's true you get what you pay for, but the buyer deserves to know why it's cheap (bad quality, fucked up parts, whatever.)

From hearing lots of experiences with Kenny, I would have to conclude that he will not pay anyone anything and will not replace anything. One reason being, it would cost him too much. Second reason being, he lied to begin with (melting of the tabs and such). Third reason, no financial gain; just a loss. In this type of dealing there is only really one way to stick it to him. Kill him. Well oh k, a non-violent way. GET THE WORD OUT. STOP DEALING WITH HIM BEFORE ITS TOO LATE! Tell your friends and family and post it everywhere you can!

I was the last person fortunate enough (or should I say unfortunate enough) to deal with this cat, and I guess it kinda goes both ways. The hood he sold me was in shitty condition, and the headlights were not only chrome, but not in the condition he told me they were in.

Having said that, I could've just as easily said "these parts suck, I'm outta here." Instead I went ahead and purchased it cuz (A) he gave me a great deal, and (B) I couldn't find another one at the time I was looking to save my life. He may be a scumbag from a business sense, but I guess we kinda enabled him to do what he did by continuing to buy his crappy parts.

As for he might be laying low or whatever, he told me he was trying to get rid of the front end he sold me because it was his last one and he was getting out of the front end biz and moving to New York. I got the front end on my car, but I'm gonna have to replace the hood, the headlights, and repaint the whole thing in the end. In the end, it's a learning experience for all of us.

And to those of you who travel a great distance for a pick-up, try to at least see some photos of the item in question first, and even if you get there and you don't like what you see, don't feel obligated to buy. I would rather flake and not have doubts about what I just spent my money on, than come across as a "cool guy" and secong guess myself all the way home. Just my 2 cents.

My sig updated too with a link to this thread! Ditto on kicking his ***. He used to own a DC2 with a JDM front end too and now has a s2000 but when I asked him about it, he said it was his friends!!

 

well after this thread, he will definitely be out of the front end biz. and as far as flaking, yea, we all would agree with that but the main idea is his concept of misleading all of us with, "a front end worth the drive, great condition parts, authentic black housing headlights, don't worry i will replace it, i have so many good vouches, blah blah"
another main concern here is he already has scammed 4+ people at around $1300 each, totalling in $5200+

All honda-tech members need to be aware and moderators as well.

HAH! funny...he said the same thing to me! he said that the s2k was his friends. I hope somebody knocks his *** back all the way to japan. His face should be as fuckked up lookin as the headlights.
