Default few random questions

so ive got a 91 sedan. im looking to make around 220whp and come in around 1800. ive already got the power figured out. but i wanna lose that weight... but i still want it to look good. so here are my plans, please add some ideas if you have any.

removing the steal out of the bumpers...
lexan rear door windows....
removing all the internals and welding of the rear doors
removing the webing and hardware from the trunk and using fastners to keep it shut....
removing all the door panels and using thin aluminum sheet to cover the holes...
i was thinking about the cheap *** summit seats to but i donno about that yet.

Is this going to be a track car? If not then theres no reason to do any of that stuff, just buy a B series motor and boost it or just built a R motor and ur almost at 220Hp

its a street car... i wanna keep it cheap and fast. i helped my dude out with the same set up last year. his was almost in the 1800's and it made 140whp with a old school stock d15b coverted to mp with a hmt set up. it ran a 13.4. i wanna dip into the 12 with hardly no money spent.

Goodluck with that, HP costs $$ My suggestion is to save save save and buy a turbo or a b series and build it

i just sold a 4g hatch to get this 4g4d... the car will be caged so the safety wont be a problem. i try to get some pics of my dudes car up tomorrow. i drove it for about 4 months and it was hard to get ppl to ride with me... its totally unsafe

okay, cage it for sure, but you will only be adding weight.
forget about weight, and make some power.
or build it for the track/strip only, so you can strip it down

yeah saab intercooler. between the car and all the turbo set up it all costed about 900 bucks.... not a bad deal for a 13 second car.

I hope you will be wearing a helmet when you put a cage in your car because that not going to be safe. You will put your life at risk every time you drive it with out a helmet.

what's the point of gutting and caging a sedan? you said, street car too. WTF!?

cut the sawzall and cutoff wheel out..... start cutting out metal, cut and gut the doors, add lexan to all of the windows, ETC.

if you want to run 12s..... just build the motor up a little bit and leave all of the stock interior. that way you can use the sedan for what it was meant to be..... 4 doors for more ******.

new sig. me and my bro built up a stock b20vtec with bolt ons and ran a 12.7 all day in his crx. car ran with full si interior/on slicks/with a full bodykit (no weight reduction there) put out 191hp/157 trq stock at BsR/CTR products dyno. and it was his DD. the motor is now in his wagon which runs 14.0 all day on slicks full interior w/ 3rd and 4th grinding. we had the motor built with 1000 bucks (took us a while to find some good parts on craigslist) motor is still running strong for about 2 years now.

b20vtec in a sedan..well i dont know quite yet how fast it would be..but my sedan ran a 14.6 on slicks b20b with full interior, and im still getting some parts for my b16 head to go on. its my DD as well

dont stripe a sedan..it has 4 dr for a reason..im sure u can break 12s without fully stripping the car

dont do bottles, can easily blown an engine if not sqeezin resonsibly or motor cant handle it..13 sec d15 turbo, add a bigger turbo?
