I'm sorry about the relativity of this thread being in the tech section but i'm sure I can work the tech in here some how. Basically, i'm writing this as a bit of a laugh session for me and you guys after a hard day at work/school or even both. As the story goes i'm on the computer trying to figure out what Abelard's Sic et Non is for my online Western Civilization class when my mom come's home complaining about her passenger light bulb being blown out. She's driving a White 2006 Honda Accord Coupe v6...sexy I might add .

Anyways, I previously put in some el cheapo blue bulbs from a local Norton Audio store around town to help with her frequent "night blindness" as she calls it..(personally...I think she needs to pay a little more attention to the damn road and quit speeding.) ANYWAYS, I pull the bulb out to find that it Indeed is blown and I replace it with a spare in the garage - to do this, you must unscrew the three phillips screws surrounding the socket assembly behind the lamp and twist the socket out to replace the bulb.(small tech there! Sorry no pics). About this time my younger brother comes home with his friend who has a brother with an eg coupe. The little kid with my brother states that his older brother (owner of the coupe) wants to race me for 100 bucks(ive got an 89 SI hatch w/ obdo b16a I/H/E w/ GSR cams.) Intrigued, I asked him if his brother was the one driving that car and what was put in it. The kid states that it's a D16...Ok I thought, it's a dirty D. "Vtec?" I asked, the kid said "No, but it has a GSR ecu in it". At this point I didnt know what to think, ive been on the road with this kid's brother behind me before but I payed little to no attention to the sound of him winding his engine out behind me. Heavy metal FTW .

Finally finished with my mom's car I close the hood and look at him, I think the conversation went along the lines of this. Me: "Look man, I dont want to talk **** about anyone but I dont think that your brother really know's what he's doing...honda intended the stock D16y7 ecu for the stock D16y7 engine..." Kid: "I dont know what my brother means but he says that he can beat you and wants to race you for 100 bucks." Me: "Tell your brother i'm sorry but I really dont like to race on the street due to past experiences with the cops around here". And on that note I went inside and finished figuring out why The Norman Invasion changed the face of England and its inhabitants forever.

now the kid is just gonna keep talkin smack sayin you were scared to race him, but even if you did race him and beat him he sounds like one of those tools with a million excuses "oh i missed third" "oh i need a clutch" "oh i have old antifreeze" lol

 

I mean, it really doesnt matter. I know the outcome of the race. I'm not holding it against this kid..i'm kinda used to it now. These kinds of kids are everywhere here in Irmo.

 

how far is irmo from greenville? i got family in greenville and i think ill drive down next time with my civic and look for that kid. lol

 

Greenville? I have some friends there. It's roughly about and hour and a half away from Columbia..the specifics though...hell if I know.

Yeah I figured...I guess you could say I killed him...sorta. Either way, I really dont care, too tired to actually. Bring on the flames or lock/let this thread die. It's all good.
