SIR b16 throws code 7 tps diagnosis??
i have a 90 crx dx with a jdm sir b16 and spoon sports authentic computer.. when going down hills in gear decelerating the check engine light will come on i checked it and it codes # 7 tps how do i diagnosis this as a electrical problem or a sensor problem? any common problems with code 7 in a b16 swap?
Well first off if you have a DX that means you had to do the Dual point to Multi conversion also. Was your 2 tps wires switched like it was supposed to???
If so, get out your multimeter and read the tps voltage idle and wide open throttle. Post up your readings and we can go from there

im not possitive if the wires were switched or not, when i did the swap i followed the instructions given to me by a guy i had wire me then engine harness. which connector and number wires on that connector is the tps? i will do the readings after class today, if you know the letter/number combo i can probably recall whether it was switched or not? the car runs good accept for a slight hesitation when cruising at a constant rpm( if that is related to code 7). thanks for the help guys.
p.s. here some stuff i want to get rid of i have this post on craigslist.com but i will ship

While you are at it, you might as well sell that computer and find one with a chipped B16 basemap, it'll run better.
It may be a spoon computah, but generally they are just stupid high rev-limits and have fuel and ignition maps for an engine with much more aggressive cams/compression, so it's not doing you any good.

well i do have the omni power high c/r valves, springs and retainers..if that makes big difference in compression?..thats sucks i just sold my stock jdm sir pw0 ecu like 3 days ago..

It might make a slight bump in compression, but the ideal setup would be a dyno tune, that way you know that it's the correct tune specifically for your engine
