what would you guys swap an f20 into?
pretty much what the title says.
me and my pops are thinkin about doing a father/son project, he is building a house that finishes next month with a detatched 3 car garage shop which has a hydraulic lift in one of the bays. we figured it would be a great time, and i know that i want to do a car with an f20/f22 swap but i cant decide what to use.
what would you goes put an f20/f22 into?

I would do it into a an integra with a fullt rear wheel drive conversion or a 4 door civic to throw peaple off. Both would be a sick 9k reving rear wheel drive car. But mad fabrication would be involved.

Oh yes you can go wrong. An RX7 without a rotary is...well...blasphemy.
Turbo Rotarys are awesome motors anyway. Just not for daily driving/street driving.
I would never take the rotary out of an RX car. That's a big part of what makes it so cool.

throw it in an ariel atom chassis... or build your own... nothing is more satisfying than making something original from scratch

If I am going to buy a sports car, I want to be able to drive it whenever I want.....

i do like this idea a lot, i dont agree with B serious though, i hate rotarys, only because my ex gf had an rx8 and it was the biggest piece of crap. i cant even imagine how shitty a boosted fd motor is.

well the reason i wana do the f20 swap is to be different. i would prefer to do something that hasnt been done yet. i know the ariel atom is an amazing machine but i really dont care for it.
you guys have great ideas though keep them coming

Well, a boosted F20 is probably LESS reliable than a boosted (from the factory) rotary.
You do get to drive it everywhere. It's just not PRACTICAL as a street use only motor. A piston motor is much better for the street. A rotary motor calls the track home. It's more of a race motor adapted for the street than the other way around.
Kinda like an S2000 is a good car...just not for bringing home furniture with...keeping a child seat in....driving across country...etc. It's not a reason not to buy it or a reason not to use it on the street at all. It's just more of a reason to use it in the place or purpose it's most inclined for.
Again, I would never take the rotary out of an RX-7 or any other RX car. That's a huge appealing point for the car.
Not that I dont love the F20C. It does everything well.
