can the integra alternator fit on a d16 engine.... and is there any benifits like more voltage ?

not to thread jack...but also can u do the opposite (d seris alt on b series) and are there also any disadvantages?

exactly cuz ive heard different i heard during my swap i can keep my brand new d alt on my b

not sure about d to b, but i know that a 90-91 integra alt will work on the jdm obd0 b16 swap......

 

That's because that SiR motor is a b series and they are both OBD0 .

Like Fezzie said I have read time and time before d and B series parts won't interchange. My guess would be because of alignment and possibly output.

 

Check to see if it fits, if it does, look on the casing for a sticker that should say how many amps it is. Example 70A or 80A would be 70-80 amps. You can go with a higher ampridge but don't go lower! Good luck, if it blows up and starts on fire... it's on you.

 

LOL...hmm well whats the ampridge on the Z6 alternator..... and the b18a alternator

 

well im not to sure if the z6 and regular 1.5 alts are the same but autozone.com said the 1.5l are 60 amp and the integras are 90 so in your case b-->d yes but d-->b no...
