That's because that SiR motor is a b series and they are both OBD0 .
Like Fezzie said I have read time and time before d and B series parts won't interchange. My guess would be because of alignment and possibly output.

Check to see if it fits, if it does, look on the casing for a sticker that should say how many amps it is. Example 70A or 80A would be 70-80 amps. You can go with a higher ampridge but don't go lower! Good luck, if it blows up and starts on fire... it's on you.
well im not to sure if the z6 and regular 1.5 alts are the same but autozone.com said the 1.5l are 60 amp and the integras are 90 so in your case b-->d yes but d-->b no...
