Help with my 92 GS :(
So, I just took apart my drivers side door because the window has been very loose since I got the car about 2 weeks ago. It would rock back and forth and a little bit in and out. After an hour of investigation I find that the Bottom Track on the regulator seems loose.
I disconnected the window from the regulator, and noticed the track that the window connected to on each end seems loose. I took the whole motor assembly and regulator out of the door to get a better look and that bottom track is very loose like the wheels are pulling out, I'm not a mechanic of any sort, just good at taking stuff apart and putting it back together and this just doesn't seem right. now I know there's guides, stablizers and other such things to keep the window straight, but if this thing is loose would it cause this problem or is it intended to fit loosely. I've never had a door apart before this so I don't have anything to compare it to.
Would really appreciate any advice or help, I left the motor out and taped a plastic bag over where the window was for the night but if I can figure out something by morning I'll be able to fix it before work

That's how all mechanics start.
There should be some movement, but not much. Try and crank down all the bolts. Make sure they are all tight.
The main reason for this problem in most cars is that people shut the door with the window half way open. open the window all the way, or close it all the way before you shut the door.

im actually an auto glass technician. this seems to be the problems with all cars, not just hondas, that do not have a full frame around the door glass. it should have play, to an extent. by ur description, shaking back and forth is obviously a bit much. the inside tracks should loosen and u will be able to slide them in tighter onto the edges of the glass... try that, otherwrise your entire regulator is shot... sory
