si choke out when downshift form 6 to 3rd gear
hey i was on the freeway
and i decided to race someone so i downshifted form 6th to 3rd going at 65 mph
and the wierd thing it choked at 7 g rpm which i thought the redline is at 8 anyways
so what i did was i shift to 3rd and let it sit and then floored and it doesn't choke at 7rpm
anybody knows why
"maybe rev limiter"

So...just because you see an Si, you have the desire to race on a public road?
to being a problem rather than a solution.
I bet half the people you want to race would rather just drive somewhere and you provoke them. You're stereotyping them and endangering others by doing so.
Being 'careful' won't help. I'm assuming you haven't taken performance driving classes where you learn what to do in certain situations when something goes wrong? Because even those people know that even in perfect conditions, there's always a chance someone's going to have a problem, either you or the person you're racing (do you know if they know how to drive well either?). I'm pretty sure everyone that's killed someone street racing thought they'd be fine as long as they were 'careful'.

I don't want to come down hard. I did one or two stupid things when I was young. But police are cracking down and every year more and more idiots are getting access to more powerful cars due to the availability of the aftermarket and price and hp wars between automakers. Every year there is street racing and a street racing mentality means more people killed.
The media DOES blow it out of proportion, I give you that. But if you think of hte risks, not only legally but also of physical damage to you or others, why would you even bother?
Street racing is bad, mmmkay?
