Default What would be a good asking price for my car?

Im not trying to sell it with this post, so I hope it doesn't get locked.

I just need to find out how much my car is worth.

SPECS.

00 silverstone.
68,868 miles

Clean body except for the front lip that has a crack for a semi tire. And of couse the regular chips from daily driving. There is a dent on the license plate hole.

No real mods except its lowered on neuspeed springs, and the volk evoIII's.

The interior is clean, the driver seat has little wear cause I replaced it with a bucket so it wouldn't get messed up.

The biggest problem with the car is the soft top. It needs to be replaced. This is whats stopping me from coming up with a price !

Again, im not trying to sell my car with this post, so please don't lock, Im just looking for a price that is fair so I can sell it a little later.

Here are a couple of pics that show the overall look of the car.

A good friend of mine just sold his '04 S2000 with 67k miles for $17k. Only 2 owners but the front had been hit (minor, airbag did not deploy) so the bumper & fender were not original.

I'd say your car is probably worth $15k. The Volk wheels are a plus, but the soft top kinda offsets that.

Pricehub http://www.pricehub.com has some recent data for actual sale prices of S2000's. Here are a few:

2000 $13,300 69,700 Salvage Title 07/13/2007 Virgina Beach, VA Average Private
2000 $15,500 13,600 Silver 07/10/2007 Brooklyn, NY Excellent Private
2000 $10,200 91,738 New top 07/15/2007 Columbus, GA Average Private

There's also other years of S2000 at :

I cant believe that the 00 with 13k miles only sold for 15,5. I would think that they would of got more for it.

If I was a buyer I don't think I'd be willing to pay more than maybe $14k.

Factors against you:

MY00
Silverstone ( )
Already modded
High Mileage
Plastic Rear Window

68,000 miles is still 68,000 miles no matter if its an 00 or an 08. I bought an Integra @ 68k and it started breaking soon after. Within 3 or 4 years I went from 68k to 125k. I wouldn't want that to happen to my S.

Bought mine @ 37,385 (yes I'm a loser, as my g/f often reminds me), up to 46,5xx at the moment 8 months later. Hope it can stay with me for many years.

you have had bad luck with your hondas. I had an 89 civic and sold it with 226k on the motor. The only reason I got ride of it was cause I got hit in the back and didnt want to fix it. But it NEVER broke down on me. I sold my 94 civic with 130k and it was still in awsome condition, the only thing that went bad were the front calipers.

You are probably the stupidest person I've come across! I could be wrong, but I also think you're a liar. I doubt you have 3.1 million in the bank, that you're a CEO or even that you're 28. I think either your parents bought you an NSX, it's not yours or if you did buy it, the bank will take it back shortly. I assume you're around 18 and wanted to look and feel cool on H-T. Please stop posting on H-T because for some reason every thread you post in gets locked.
Everything you've said=

Got my 01 berlina with 25k for 16.9 in the midwest, no dents or cracks...

Imo, I would pay 14-15k for your car..Here in wisconsin... Plus the market is down everywhere and after september, GL selling your convertible...Everyone is looking for convertibles, right when summer is about to break and everyone in teh w3rld wants a drop top..

I love winter

everyone in here is estimating wayyyy too much....**** if thats the case, i'll sell my **** tomorrow for 18k if i can get it.....

i got my near MINT (i say near because the back bumper was scratched, thats it, small small small area of paint chipping on front bumper too) 02 sebring with not a dent on the car and interior is flawless with 45k for $12k a year ago.

granted i found a great deal, i just think 16k for an 00 with a lot more miles than mine had is a lot of $$.......
but then again, to someone really realy really hotttt for the car, it is worth that much.

You are the minority not the majority, the car you bought blue books out at $17,500 - 18,500 so yes you got a good deal but its not the norm.
