I have a b18b1 that i want to swap into my ef. the b18 was in a 92 hatch. i was just wondering if the wiring harnesses will match up or if i need to rewire anything. Ive looked for specifics but no luck. and also if theres any type of welding that is needed for the mounts. thanx for your help
I currently have a B18B1 in my CRX.
Wiring will match up with OBD0 if you do the following:
You will need a mount kit for 88-91 Civic/CRX. If you are going to use the hydraulic transmission, order a set with the convertor. Be sure to order the correct set for your application, cable vs hydraulic - the tranny mounts are different.
OBD-0 Distributor (90-91 integra)
OBD-0 Alternator
OBD-0 ECU (PR4)
OBD-0 Injectors (take some from an 88-91 Civic/CRX Si.)
Be sure to use the rear bracket for whatever transmission you use. If hydraulic, 94-01 integra rear bracket, if cable 90-93 integra.
Don't forget to put a dent on in the driver's side of the bay around the shock tower for alternator clearance.
Also, axles, you will need to use the 90-01 Integra Passenger Axle + 94-01 Integra Driver's Axle.
94+ = female driver's side axle
90-93 = male driver's side axle
Good luck

I would not use this stuff. Sure, it's the easy way. But when is he easy way ever the BEST way? The ECU is programmed for a motor with 10 less HP. So performance will probaby suffer if you use this ECU. Also, pre-1992 distributers are DEFINITELY les reliable. And finally, gas mileage will not be as good as it would be with a 1992+ ECU. As for the alternator, this actually does not matter. You can use an alternator with any ECU.

i have another?
I have the ecu and the wiring harness (still connected) to the b18 that was used in the 92 hatch..
But when i unhooked the orginal d15 ecu the jumper harness doesnt match up (of course)
my question is how do i get the harness' to match up? will i have to get a whole new harness for the "non-engine electronics?" im confused on the wiring ****
and also do the axels from the integra just swap into the hatch or do i need to do some axel swapping? like civic outer and teg inner?
the 90-01 Integra Passenger Axle + 94-01 Integra Driver's Axle.
94+ = female driver's side axle
90-93 = male driver's side axle
thanx

hey, i was reading your post and i just recently did a swap too. i took my 95 ls motor out of my eg and swapped it into my 90 crx si. wiring is a little tricky if your ef harness is not multi-point fuel injectors. you can either find a si harness or do it yourself. you can run a 90 or 91 ls ecu(Pr4) should be fine. i bought hasport mounts and shift linkage (the EFB1 for cable trans). i also tried to attempt to do a OBD0 to OBD1 conversion too. but that didn't come out right cause i didn't convert the connectors on the dizzy to OBD1. i believe thats the problem. but it still ran with a pr4 OBD0 ecu. i also ran with a 90 integra intermediate shaft and axles. i bought my parts from KingMotorSPorts.com. they specialize in honda/acura. the people who make the conversion harness is Boomslang.com it comes with instructions or you can look online. comes with extra wiring to do a dual to multipoint injector and wires to run OBD1 O2 sensor and you gotta convert the plugs on the dizzy to OBD1 and run Obd1 dizzy too. theres more but it's all in the instructions. oh yeah and pound the side by the strut tower for clearance for the alternator.
