I'm building a D16Z6 w/ T25 looking to boost 10-12 psi.
For now, I'm going to run a mini-me set up, until the D16Z6/turbo project is complete.
My problem is what diameter exhaust piping to run for the D16Z6/turbo project?
And is there one that will work efficiently for both set ups?(mini-me & D16Z6/turbo)
The main focus is the Turbo project.
So, if there isn't one that works for both,then i'll just come up with some thing cheap and efficient for the Mini-me.

im not a mechanic but i would recommend like 2.5 or maybe 3 because of the 10-12 of boost

 

Turbos like big exhausts. A 3" Thermal turbo exhaust would be good.

 

there really isn't one that will work at the optimal level for both setups. NA setups won't like exhaust piping bigger than 2.5" (unless you have a B20 or something similiar to that). the turbo app. will like a 3" exhaust so it can flow.

so, you could go with 2.5" piping and hurt the NA app some and the turbo app some. its just a compromise.

 

go to the cheapest muffler shop and have them make u a 2.25" aluminum custom made piping. that should be cheap
then after the turbo. get a 3" piping catback sytem......

 

or get 3" to the first bend then taper it to 2.5" mendrel through the rest of the system................mmmmmmm oh yeah thats what i have..................
