buy a 90degree elbow thats the same size as that intake and use it on the intake manifold to bring the whole thing down a little, and to have a cai in an ef, the battery has to be relocated, or use a smaller battery maybe?

im trying but the bottom of it is hitting the side of the hole where u put the air filter so it wont go down any further.i was thinking i can take the intake to a machine shop have them cut it so i can pull the intake down enough so i can close my hood but i think there gonna cut it real short so the air filter will be behind my battery what to you guys think??

For mine, I opened up that hole where the OEM tubing goes into the resonator and added a section of piping at the throttle body. Hope that helps. Sorry, I never took a pic of that hole. It's been so long I totally forgot that I did that.

Just keep fidgeting with it. It will fit eventually. I've never had a problem getting an aftermarket D16A6 CAI to work with a DOHC ZC.
