Default Launch

i am about to to go the track to run my 1988 honda crx si with a zc motor, teg ecu, and custom exhuast with a 5zigen tip. What should i launch at? I hear people say "launch in VTEC" but i dont have vtec so i dont know if i should launch at a high rpm or what? any advice would be great.

try 3,000 first and go up from there

Just remember to keep the revs up,feather the clutch so it will be in power when it hooks up and don't let it bog.

usually non vtec motors you launch at a lower RPM

launch at a hair under 4K for a non vtec motor, feather that clutch

im not sure what you guys mean by feathering the clutch. just dropping the clutch is no good right(too much wheelspin?). thanks
