any time u disassemble & reassemble ur head u want to check ur clearances afterwards.....use a feeler gauge and check.....its always better to play it safe, especially when ur playing with a 400+ dollar head

When you install the cams, arent you going to have to set all of your clearances, when you reinstall your rockers etc??

the answer is absolutely, yes

if you can install cams, you can definitely do a valve adjustment. get the tool from amazon, it makes it much easier.

The difference between the cams is not worth the time, effort, or expense. If anything, look to picking up a set of ITR cams instead.

yup not much diffrence in the gsr cams and the b16 cams. not worth replacing them, and yes its absolutely necessary to adjust the valves after removing cams

well, in certain cases, upgrading to GSR cams can be a worthy upgrade, namely with the 1st B16A engines. 2nd B16 not such a worthy upgrade, but yes if sticking to OEM cams, CTR/ITR cams are the best performance cam you'll find for a B-series VTEC engine over GSR/B16 cams.

Yes TYpe-R cams are a great NA camshaft.

Do you have to replace the cam journels also from b16s to gsr units? Or will b16s work with the gsr cams?
