Default Time for a new clutch? Which one to buy?

Well its gettin harder to put the car in gear and i feel as if the clutch isnt grabbin like it used to so im going to buy a new one

i have a jdm b16, cams, cam gears, blah blah, but i was wondering i want a streetable clutch nothing serious cuz i dont plan to boost until a year or two ( im a poor college student) and id like something nice. i was thinking exedy stage 2, or something along those lines. i have a lightweight flywheel all that good stuff.

any recommendations?

thanks!

Exedy stage 2 would be a good choice if you plan to boost the car. Friend had one, it was great.

HDSS ACT clutch with Street/Strip disc. I have had this on three seperate occasions and they work. I wouldn't waste my time and MONEY putting any other brand of clutch on my ride. I had a kit for over 3 years with daily abuse and it never slipped!!!!

I got a Competition Stage 2 and I love it. Supports ~80% more torque than stock and isnt very aggressive at all. I do have it with a 10lbs flywheel though

lsd street disc stage 2 pressure plate. perfect for daily driving. perfect for racing. no chatter what so ever unlike puck clutches, but will grab when it needs too like a puck clutch.

For your setup, any of the above listed companies' stage 1 clutches will be fine. A cammed B16 (is it tuned or not?) won't make enough torque to overwhelm a stage 1.

And he doesn't need anything even remotely close to that.

if he has more plans for later then why not just upgrade to a better clutch

Go head with a stage 2 or 3... Learn how to drive w it.... Adds character.
Used to like ACT untill I went thru 2 of them, called ACT and they were complete ********. Haven't liked them since. Exedy is about the best bang for the expletive. Great clutches, last a long time, and havent heard of them having slipping problems yet.

i would say exedy stage 1 or stage 2. stage 1's are very streetable but i have heard that they hold up some good power. but yeah if you dont mind a little bit of a rougher ride then go stage 2....you are gonna boost it anyway....you do want something that will hold up some boost and high hp figures.

exedy stage 2--
