We sell JVC and all the other brands mentioned. In general there are a few more JVC returns on average but were talking maybe very small differences. The low end JVC is not the greatest but the higher level stuff is good. The KDLH1000 is a nice piece, but you might also want to look at the KDSH707. This is a wonderful radio that is 1st rate in construction and performance. I know the KDLH1000 has the full motion graphics though.

As with any piece of electronic equipment things are liable to break. You can get a JVC that lasts 10 years and get an Alpine that quits in a week....you never know. AS long as you stay away from ultra cheap stuff like Pyramid, Rockwood, Legacy, etc you'll be fine.

I've got a JVC KD-SH909 and kicks sweet ***.

Like every brand they have cheap ****... everyone just likes to bash things based on the lower end. Go for high end JVC and you'll get a sweet deck for a great price.

P.S. I did own a high end alpine, great deck.. but it quit in less than a year.... Nothing is perfect.

Almost 4 years experience and also have to go with , however I must also say that their new products are much better than their old ones. I havent seen any problems with the models they put out this year.

I'd have to say they are improving, as well... Everyone's lower lines are crap, and are made by 10 yr olds in sweat shops, ya know... if we keep buying em, the poor little kids have to keep working. Spend more money, save a 3rd world country.

I've had my JVC SH-99 MP3 headunit for almost a year and it has been great. I was very skeptical buying a JVC product, but the deck that I bought is top notch.

I've got the sh-909. I'm pretty sure it is just the new version of yours. And yes, like I said before I am very happy with it.

But nobody else seems to beleive us. Oh well.

On a side note, I love how the red buttons on the deck match the red lights in my car perfectly... looks awesome at night.

I quite agree. I've installed few jvc head units and disc changers and have yet to have one come back.
