transmission ID: How-to identify L-3 trannys
Hey guys, I know that this is in the FAQ, so it'll be breif, but with this it's at least on the pages in "recent" instead of archived. I got a mystery trans and actually had to do the test so I just took a cpl pics at the same time.
This is the original ms paint drawing that can the thanked for all of this:

and here are some real world pics for reference.
marked the input sahft:

Then i marked the diff (be sure to mark the inside part that turns)

Grabbed hold of the input shaft and spun it 10 times (be careful not to rub off the mark.) Once the 10th turn was complete I looked with great anticipation and saw this:

dammit, guess its a DX tranny... Oh well, the price was right either way

Dx is good it just like the si not much difference in them i run a dx to the hf suck or u need some big power for it it the longest geared tranny i don't know i think it might be longer then the Ls integra ones.

after looking at real photos and how to indicated markings, your picture are very useful.
