crap crx looks or speed 1st?

Default crap crx looks or speed 1st?

hello every one!! first time on this site. ok here i go. baught a 1990 crx si before i left to iraq. i am still here with 10 months left. the car is a bucket in the worst way. payed $300 for it if that tells u any thing. wich would u do a engin swap first or get the out side and interrior looking good. would love the feed back thanks.

If it was me it depends. If I was building the car to be a fast car(mid 12's or lower) I'd do that first just because it's entertaining. If those arn't your plans I would do outside first so you have something nice to ride around in.

Depends what your budget is, and what your priorities are. I'd prefer to not look like a POS then be fast. Noone cares about fast POS's. lol.

when doing my cars i allways tried to balance it out..for instance if i bought exhaust first id then go do something exterior wise jdm fenders or corner light or w/e juss so its not all go and look busted and also so its not all show and no go try to balance it out...juss my .02

Does it run? If you're be driving it around, and it needs major work anyway, I'd prolly go ahead and get the speed stuff done. My daily rex looks like a POS, but has a heart of gold, so I've been able to take my time gathering body parts.

In the meantime, stay safe and hurry home.

i was always a speed first guy...its got a rebuilt sohc zc with a y8 head and running smooth as heck. 1 1/2 inch exhaust until i put my turbo in...which will be summer time but yeah its a pos...my damn door is so rusted that the stupid thing on the bottom or the door fell off lol...

if i go the speed way i am putting in a b16a into it got a bout 6k 2 spend on it when i get back

That's a contradiction right there. If you have 6k to play with don't bother with a B16 unless you plan on boosting it.

I've been hiding because i haven't made any progress on my H2B in like 2 weeks. I'd imagine I'll drop into kills on friday though.

What kind of engine do you have in it now? Is it in good condition? You could sleeve a sohc and add vitara pistons and eagle rods. You'd be looking at under 1500 dollars for that and people have made over 400whp on that setup. If you blow the motor they are cheap. This would give you more money to fix the body.
