Dont see how that could be when a gsr clearly has more hp and tq than your b16a2. Ok so maybe you've beat a GSR...big deal. The facts don't lie...the GSR is the superior motor. Don't let this turn into another one of those b16 bashing threads but seriously, to say that the b16a2 is going to be beating GSR's all day long is just stupid.

B16 in your coupe? and your beating stock GSR integras?
if you have a DX coupe with a swapped..i guess i could see it but line up a bonestock 00 civic SI and a 00 GSR..
i got 100 to 1 the GSR pulls away

I have a b16 and I'm still defending the gsr. How is it weak? If I had the extra cash I would've gotten a gsr, but I didn't. Ok here let me clear it up for you.
B16a2 HP: 160
TQ: 111
B18C1 HP: 170
TQ: 128
The choice is pretty obvious. If you have the money get the better engine.

how about GSR bottom end with b16 head, 11:1 compression and ctr cams? hell of a combination. Best of both worlds: better flowing head, higher displacement block. *drools*

Well that's what I have too. But he's pretty much asking which would be better.

i have a b16a and i do w00p alot of gsr ***.
the b16 has better gearing and a higher redline.
so on the 1/4 it is faster than a gsr. stock for stock.
i am turbo charging my b16a. i think it will be more streetable than a b18 turbo

I believe the redline is the same. And the gearing is ever so slightly different. Nothing that's going to win you a race. FYI.

yep my little hatch with the b16a alot more faster then gsr. and i havent even messed with my headers and exhaust yet. so i would go with a b16a. also it would depend on what you going to drop it in.

And that could definitely have to do with the weight of your hatch. Put a gsr in your hatch and it's going to be quicker than it is with the b16.

every little bit counts.
i did 151whp on my stock b16a with intake and exhaust. stock headers.</TD></TR></TABLE>
B16a2 redline, 8200. B18c1 redline, at least 8, if not 8200. Really, no difference. You can't tell me that if you took off your b16 tranny and put on a gsr tranny that you would see a noticable difference in performance.

yeah of course with a b18 i fly to the moon cause of more power. but a b16a in my hatch is enough for now . i was wondering what kind of exhaust do you have on your b16a and headers . cause im looking for some but i cant decide witch one would be best.

I'm not sure if you're talking to me. But mine is just stock. I have stock exhaust and the stock header.
