Green plug connects to the dash harness that connects to the dash.

'A' shouldnt be too far from the other plugs, unless it was cut off.
Its the same width as the dash connector, but it has the same construction as the blue and dinky grey one you have shown (C and D respectively) - with the white cap so you can remove pins.

Looks like a 96-98 harness, huh?

does that look like a 96-98 Civic EX Engine harness to you? I double check the pins for where the pins is located and it matches.

The missing plug is inside the car. Cant tell if its any harness without looking at the wiring and see whats there and whats not.

So connector "A" should be inside the car? Because I dont see any signs of connector "A" being cut off from the engine harness.

That little grey plug certainly looks like connector D to me... That would be obd2a. If it were obd2B it should be larger than what I see. (then agian, its been a very long day)

I dont think that A should be left off the harness.
I'll go look at my harness...
Can you get a better shot of that area? 'A' should be right there...

Oh, and your dash plug is missing a lot of wires...

Did this harness come off a fully working car? Your car or did you buy it off someone?
If Im just not seeing the (D) grey plug right, and its actually B, then discount everything Ive said.

Agh I shouldnt even be on the boards this late...

well i bought it from a guy that claims its from a 99-00 Civic Si. But I have no clue because I dont have much experience with OBD2 engines. But after looking thru the diagram on ff-squad. It looks more like the OBD2B rather than the OBD2A engine harness. But heres a better shot of the grey connector (yeah I know I need a new damn camera.)

I dont think i can just use the Civic Si engine Harness on my 97 Civic. Plug "A" which is not on the actual Civic Si harness itself is different. I would have to change the cabin floor harness as well

Ohhh... Yeah, no way in hell do you want to use that harness on an obd2a chassis - you will run into dozens of wiring/electrical difficulties.

Resell that harness and get yourself a 96-98 ex harness instead.
It will snap right in and work perfectly.

You would be redoing a LOT
If I were you, I would just get the appropriate harness and sell that one.

that wouldnt help things like the tach and other dash goodies
the harness does a lot more than just control the ecu
