bouncy ride
Hi, I wonder if bouncy ride is the cause of cheap springs or not. I lowered my car about 1.5" front and rear, I have a bouncy ride, even shock because the rear move up so much and down fast. I noticed that my brother's Acura TL-S have a stiff stock suspension but very forgiving on the bumps.
I have a 1996 HOnda Accord LX 4cyl with KYB shocks, ebay lowering springs in front, Aerospeed lowering springs in the back.
Thanks

By bouncy what do you consider bouncy? If you hit a bump do you bottom out and bounce right back up or do you bottom out and your suspension goes up and down a few more times? (continuous bounce or rubber ball effect)
If you get the rubber ball effect I would say you probably have a blown strut. gr-2'S + Any 1.5" lowering springs = Possible blown strut. Look for oil or dark fluid down the sides of your struts. If your suspension has been bouncing for a while that could mean that your struts may be totally empty.
Now if your talking hitting a bump and bouncing but not getting the rubber ball effect. That is more than likely a week spring and strut combo.

The front has ebay springs better more forgiving than the back, and I think because of the weight difference. The rear usually give me the shock in the seat because it bounces so strong and come back down so fast. I don't have rubby ride, and the struts are GR-2 and are in good condition, I tested them.
I'm thinking softer springs better and more forgiving but still stiff, and eBay springs is meeting my specs. :D

Yup, same here and your set up is way better than mine. The only thing I can think of is may be because of the short travel distance(from lowering) so we hit the bump stop early than stock, which causes the car to jump and you inside follow it.
So I guess there's nothing we can do about it, it's the design of my honda suspension system.
