So i bought the car and noticed that it would not read the temp.I bought a new ect and it finally would read the temp but would get there very slowly and sometimes get there and back down and back to operating temp.It fluctuates and is really slow to operating temp so im thinking of getting a new thermostat.Car does not over heat fan works but i feel as if im getting really bad gas mileage for this(car is dumping fuel until it gets to operating tempature).

 

 

mine does the same it says its over heating but nothing happens , im just to lazy to fix it thanks for the post maybe i can learn

took out the thermostat and sure enough it was stuck open
