ITS DUST IN THE WIND>>>and smoke in the cabin
I blew this high-reving machine late at night around two in the morning. I called up the girlfriend told her what happened, if she didn't already have a clue from the load knocking coming from my 99 civic SI as I cranked it up and drove off, she did now. I borrowed her car for the trip home (returned it later). I abandoned my pride and joy, leaving it sitting on the side of a four-lane. When I returned a day and a half later the 1500$ stereo system had been stripped.
Needless to say this man was pissed
. I took action in calling the enforcements of law and placed necessary claims with statefarm.
The high-compression B18C1/B16A2 motor has a pretty little hole in the front of it, this is where the connecting rod decided to take an alternate route, dislodging itself from its propulsing friend the CRANK.
I am now looking for information on how to put together a workable turbo project including an LS motor (B18B) nonV-tec of course. I have a type R oil pump and fuel pump., oversized Prelude injectors (290?), P28 chipped-ecu. I believe I should be able to use these with the turbo setup. I want to stay B-series to eliminate complications and keep a manageable budget.
I have a few parts to sale or trade to acquire parts that I need for my proposed setup:
Head: Pr3 milled .030 Bronze Ferra valve guides and seals REV stainless valves Rocket motorsports LSX valvesprings and titanium retainers
Cams: rocketmotorsports M22X cams
header: SPARKS racing header (copy of the SMSP tri-y) 4-2-1
