Default 5.0 and up final drive on a rsx type s

anyone has this? im thinking about swapping out my final drive in my DC5. i was wondering if its night and day difference and is it worth it? does the fast acceleration live up to its hype?

Buddy just put this in his base.
It was night and day. This gear swap and cam upgrade got him almost 1 second at the drag strip.
He mostly does auto-x, but he came out to try it. WOW.
Not sure on a 6spd though, if you are racing, it might force another shift.
For road racing/auo-x, I'd say it's worth it.

The 5.0 will basically keep your car higher in the power band you will definitely feel the difference.

The BASE 2nd to 3rd shift is horrible.
Did the 5.0 help in that department?</TD></TR></TABLE>

Not directly. It changed the acceleration graph of every gear, so when in 3rd, the acceleration was much better. It did not chage the rpm drop though, that would require a 2nd/3rd gear swap.
