some people replace their b16 throttle bodies with Itr and had some gains.

I depends on what your plan on building.
.
if your gonna keep it i would go 1 mm, 2 mm the most, more than however big the type r throttle bodies are.

above is a very cheap alternative to buying a new throttle body in a specific size.
u send them ur throttle body and they bore it and taper it to a 65mm i believe. if they go 68mm they'll taper it down to 65mm past the butterfly. for 100 bucks u cant go wrong.

Unless you have cams and/or headwork I'd not waste the time, effort, and money on a Skunk 2 manifold.

Very well respected member of H-T Mike K did a back to back dyno comparison of a stock B16A2 with the stock manifold vs. the Skunk2 manifold and the Skunk 2 actually made LESS whp across the entire power band, lost torque, and didn't gain any noticable peak power.

The bottom line?

Don't buy an aftermarket intake manifold for a B16a unless you have cams and/or headwork in the mix too.

Werd, no point in getting more air to the motor if the cams/valves can't swallow it. Find some ITR or stage 1 cams and then go with the SK2 mani. Definitely a much better pull around 6500rpm on my B16A2 and pulls all the way to redline.

Not at all, until they get it back, slap and on, and then come to the realization that it gained 0.15hp for their car and they can't even feel it on the *** dyno.
