Default 8th gen style key for 7th gen?

anyone know where to get a keyblank that has the remote options in the base of the key for an 03 civic?

i dont think there is. you might be able to get away with an 8thgen civic blank key from the dealer and get it programmed at honda. i wouldnt trust those ebay keys.

go to honda and ask them for a key for the new civics/ accords that have the options on the key. then bring your stock key. and ask them if they can make a copy of the key for you. But its gunna cost you more then you may want to spend on a key. like a few hundred bucks maby more. atleast thats what the acura dealer i used to work at charged. i think

but will the remote options work on my 03 civic (obviously not the trunk release) and will the key fit?

there was a mod on civicforums.com almost a year ago showing how to mod a certain accord key to achieve what I THINK you're talking about.

its not a link its a dealership lol. literally walk in. go to the parts department. ask them if they can cut an accord key to match your key. if it cant be done. they will tell you. it cant be done

yea, i was gonna say, for the 01-02's with normally cut (not laser cut) keys, you gotta gut a CRV blank. It's explained very clearly in those DIY's.
