TPMS when changeing rims
I'm about to go buy a set of 04 rsx wheels for my FA and I just remembered as we all know the new 08's have the TPMS do i have to go to a shop and get it the valve stems switched over? or can i just bolt on the new rims and be ok will and problems come up? and just not have the tpms work or will not having them on the new rims cause a light to go off.
searched and found only stuff relating to the fit, not sure it's the same

I understand it must be for proper usage of the tpms to function but if I dont switch will it do any harm? in the fit forum I read that it'sa one way thing and that the ecu only read it when the tire send it out, so does the same apply here?

You mean like affect the car's performance? No. You'll just have to stare at an annoying little yellow light until you fix it the right way.
Heed the advice given to you above and just GET IT DONE!

Actually if you have an Si when the TPMS is on you cannot disable the VSA. At least that is what is stated in the manual. So for instance if you wanted to change rims at an auto-x to go to racing tires you will have the TPMS system on and VSA will be on while you race. Really, IMO, that is the only time it would effect anyone.

Everyone sits and whines, did you ever think to just buy 4 brand new sensors to put on your new wheels / tires?
I can't imagine it would be too expensive. (>$300). If you factor $80 to unmount / mount old tires then you just brought the overhead down to $220. So yeah....

The sensors aint that cheap. Plus you gotta get them initialized(sp?) at the dealer which is 80 bucks at my work. The smart thing to do would be to swap them over. just one 11mm nut holds each sensor in.
