light bulb theory
1. okay in class they said tailight is brighter.. thats bullshit because when u have the headlight on taillight comes on very dim right, but when u step on the brake it gets brighters..
i understand its one bulb with 2 filament and they said 1st filament is taillights and it goes less resistance so thats why its brighter..
bullshit cuz when u step on brakes it gets brighter

And you're rebutal was that Taillights get brighter when you step on the brake?

lol.. sweet learn something new everyday....
on a serious note it sounds like someone was telling him that taillights are brighter then brake lights, and he's saying that's bullshit cause when you hit the brakes obviously they are brighter, i think he answered his own question though?? (dual filament bulb)

Than. The headlights are brighter THAN the tailights. A group English lesson would do a few people good apparently.

dude, the brake ligths are brighter than your tail lights. brake ligths = less resistance, higher wattage. tail ligths = more resistance, lower wattage.

Simple circuits here people.
2 power wires going to the 1157 bulb socket, with a common ground. Taillights on = completed circuit for the low taillight filament. Brakes applied = completed circuit for the higher brake light filament.
When brakes are applied, both filaments are lit at the same time.
