The car would still turn over if the relay was bad, it just wouldn't start...

OP: Do all the dash lights and everything light up? Checked all your fuses? I had a ignition switch go bad on my old DA and when the key was in the ON position (II) no lights would come on, then I'd press the key a little further but not quite far enough to start it, and all the lights would come on. Let go of the key and it sprang back to the ON position (II) and all the lights would go out again. Replaced the ignition switch and all was good

have some one turn the key over while you check for power at the starter signal, check your fuses,

if its a standard check the clutch safety switch, its a button under the dash that gets pushed in when the clutch is pressed in(the reason the car wont start unless you press the clutch in) the plastic gromet popped out on my as i was going down the track!
