integra hatch installation
so i got a new hatch for my integra cus mines had a lot of rust under the wing, emblem, and a hole(luckily not into the interior bay). i wanted to kno if the wiring for the motor and things jus plug into the new hatch somewhere or will i have to connect wires were i cut on the hatch?

i'm assuming this is on a DA(judging by your name). when i changed the hatch on my DA(cause of the very same problem)we had to root the wires for the windshield wiper and brake lights through the body of the hatch(the hollow frame part that goes around the glass). this, however, was due to the fact that the wires on the new hatch were cut and we had to replace these with the wires from the old one. if you're fortunate enough not to be dealing with non-cut wires, all the wires(brake lights and wiper) go through a small robber opening where i have circled in red in the pic. then, its just hooking up the connectors.

where you cut the wires also effects how much work you're going to have on your hands.
hope this helps.

...Or you could just have pulled your passenger side interior panel off and unplugged the wires on the other end, instead of pulling them all through the hatch or cutting them. Just a thought...
Yes...you remove the trim piece on the roof near the back of the headliner. Under it will be the four 10 or 12 mm nuts that attach to studs that are part of the hatch...removing these bolts along with unplugging the wiring will allow you to remove the hatch. Good luck!
