driving my car and engine is HOT..
i just put my turbo kit in into my gsr and i start it up.. the engine gets really hot? but the temp gauge isn't reading hot,, i wonder if is it normal because of the turbo manifold is stickin out higher or is it something else?... just wondering if running turbo, does the engine often just gets hotter? or is it something else thats causiing it? any helps?
thanks guys...

You need to detail your situation a bit more.
Are you experiencing problems? what are your symptons other then your feelings?
A turbo under the hood of cause will generate more heat because your forcing the exhaust to spin the turbine hence the need for a 2.5"-3" or even a 4" exhaust system.
The biggest questions is what are you using to tune your beast? If you want to reduce the temps a bit, might I suggest you thermal coat it with something like Jet-Hot 2000 that will surely reduce the temps down a bit.
Hope this helps.

The engine gets really hot? Not much of a description. If your temp gauge worked before and its working now and its not overheating then I don't see what the problem is. Make sure exhaust gases aren't melting anything in the engine bay though...
if ur engine's geting hott, spray it w/ a hose.
Of course the underhood temps are going to rise, u just put a big patatoe in ur exhaust, and making much more power. Those 2 things will increase ANY engine compartment.

You engine is making more heat.... and holding it in the engine bay as well. And chances are you have a front mount... that also limits some air to the radiator. Time to upgrade to a thicker unit that holds more volume
