95 wrecked GSR B18C1 - Fix and sell or sell parts... that is the question.
I have a 95 4-door white GSR wrecked in the front. It had the DC2 front end, note "had"... one fender, a fixable cover, and maybe a headlamp survived. Windshield shot, bags good, core support bad, minor eng damage - vtec sol, valve cover, and dizzy cap - header good, ss exhaust, twited gsr 5spokes, leather, etc....
What would be the best route? Fix it back US spec front (have most parts) and sell, fix DC2 front (parts are high!) and sell, or part out swap, etc?
Trying to get some input here. Its a clean car, engine looks to be recently rebuilt (head looks brand new on top), leather has one minor wear spot on DS side bolster seam (very common), but no rips or other damage, clean car - no wing or gayness, good miles, salvage title of course...
Input? Thoughts?

Appreciate the help!

sell it and swap into another chassis.
whole front end is wrecked and the major part is getting the rad support on right so that the new front bumper will line up. my teg was not as bad as this and it was totalled by my insurance company.
take the hit and get another.

it all depends on how much you paid for that... i'm assuming you didn't crash it and are just trying to flip it back on the market. i had a 96 white db8 with a b18c5 and wrecked it. for me, because of the engine, it was worth it to just strip it down and sell everything. for you, it may be totally different. those db8s sell for decent money still... that thing is definitely salvaged, so i don't know the resale value on it. if you strip it, you can make some change, but stripping it will tie you up for a little while. if you strip it, get rid of the parts and the shell before winter comes, that's for sure. GL
BTW, i did pick up an R after i wrecked my db8 and then picked up a 96 gsr as a DD

I'm not really into Integras. If I posted in the wrong section... sorry about that. Didn't know if the GSR would fall under Type-Rs or not (kinda made sense at the time).
No I didn't wreck it; I purchased it as salvage. I didn't think it would be worth putting the DC front back on it, but I was unsure about putting a regular teg front on it. It seems the consensus is to part it out, so I guess that's what I'll do unless someone just happens to see it and wants it.
Why do I want to make sure I sell the shell and parts before Winter?
Thanks for the input everyone; I'll make sure I put only Type-R stuff in here next time!

Anyhow... Since you don't like Integras that much might as well part it out if you have the time to disassemble/wait for people to buy most of the parts. Pix of the damage... or a estimate of the total cost? Just do the math... If its a ez fix (cost/time wise) then I'd rather fix it up and sell it. The condition of the car (mileage/condition/interior/exterior shape etc) will also be a varible too.
I'm not saying I don't like Integras... nice cars, I'm just more of a CRX person myself. Its kinda a toss-up. If I rebuild it as a USDM, it needs a windshield, hood, core support, bumper, fenders, lights, rad, cond, fan, and valve cover. I have most of the parts. I know it will part out well... B18C swap, leather interior, JDM wheels, JDM fender, fixable JDM bumper... shouldn't have too much problem. I just don't know how well a 4-door GSR will sell (first one I've personally seen). The car is clean, good miles, recent repaint - no other body damage, so you can kinda see my situation.
I'd hate to fix it and find out that nobody likes 4door GSRs!
Thanks everyone for the continued input!

db7s and db8s, 94-01 four door integras, are a small minority among integras. type in "db squad" and you'll find threads on just four door integras... it's a whole subculture among integra owners. i say do what you want with the car and stop posting up in this thread saying stupid stuff unless you want to be ragged on.
^^ wtf man? where was he saying stupid stuff? he just doesn't know certain things about Integras cause that's not his scene...he's just asking for peoples' opinions as to whether he should rebuild it or part it out.
I say just part it out...there's so much visible front-end frame damage, and there could even be some warping that you can't immediately see. I just don't see it being worth it to spend all the effort straightening everything out and trying to get all the body panels to line up right.

when i searched for "four door integra" under archived content, i got this "Your search for four door integra returned 935 results."
...and that's not trying "db8" or "db7." i guess since nobody likes four door gsrs, that's why there are so many results. at least i like DBs. many days, i'd rather have my old db8 back than drive either my 98 ITR or 96 two door gsr. but that's just me.
