Tire preferences...
hey guys...I will soon have an 00' s2k after I get rid of my gsr and initially the most important thing I think I could do is a tire upgrade for the stock rims. This will be the first time I have ever had a rwd car, but with only a couple small snows a year I won't have a problem. Anyway I was thinking about the pilot exalto from michelin...what brand and type of tire are you all impressed with most?

nitto is garbage.. opt for some stiff sidewall tires like a potenza. i personally like the ride of my goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3s. very quiet smooth ride and excellent in the rain.

Those have had problems of them ripping apart. Not sure if that issue has been resolved.

I can't seem to find any at the moment, but two local guys had issues with them on 18inch wheels. Both of their tires developed 'bubbles' in the sidewall. Supposedly that was due to the soft sidewall used by these tires to give it a more comfortable ride. And once the 'bubbles' developed the tires started to come apart.
It might just be the luck of the draw or driving style, but ehhh. Makes me personally stray away from it.

oh yeah...the neova I think. I heard they were good, but definatly expensive and won't fit on stock '00 rims...
