the entire idea behind swapping is taking a cheap or semi unexpensive vehicle and putting a great motor into it or something better than before...... taking a $15k + vehicle and swapping another K-series into it from an older RSX type-S (for people who NEED tuning right now and hate DBW) you could have just bought yourself an RSX for less or spent the extra cash on something different. there is a guy on 8th that did a swap but i think he was dropped as a baby.

when I 1st got my si I stoped by a local shop for some input and asked what would be a good performance mod for the si. the owner of the shop asked if I would be willing to do an engine swap. my reply was , what? why? I got this car for the motor and your telling me to swap it out!! needless to say I have not even drove past that place since!

the problem i'm running into is that people don't even know what they are looking at. I was going around trying to find a place to install my comptech blower. I ran into a guy who quoted me twice what everyone else did without even looking at my car. I asked him why. He said "Its a bitch to get behind those motors to install them. So its easier to just pull the motor." I laughed at him and didnt say another word just got in my car and drove away.

the mounting points in the car are the same. throw away the r18 mounts (along with the motor ) and buy k20 mounts for your k-series swap. Just like if you were swapping the d-series out of a 2000 civic and putting in a b series. you just use the si mounts.

I won't comment about the B vs. K... lol
