Trans filler hole?
I just read DIY fluid change on a h22. last time i did it I used pump under the car. but this guy said soemthing about filling from the top? do u use that breather hole thing with rubber top? is that where he filled it up at?
The "proper" way to do it is to use the fill hole on the side of the transmission. This ensures that you'll fill it up correctly (until it runs out from the fill hole). Otherwise, you can drain the transmission and put in 1.9L of MTF through the vent hole.
or if u find it too hard to get it into the tiny vent hole, u can also just usncrew the revers switch, and fill it through there, the opening is much larger,
i usually just drain it, then fill in 2qts, since most of the time when i do it the proper way, after filling 2qts only a tiny bit overflows. so i guess that tiny bit extra in there shouldnt matter too much, haha
